Costa Rica Extrema 2012 is our country’s first expo dedicated to ecotourism, adventure and extreme recreational activities. It brings together the best Costa Rica has to offer to people who enjoy both active and relaxing vacations. The three specific areas of interest at Costa Rica Extrema 2012 will be: extreme sports, ecotourism and adventure travel.
At the fair, visitors will have a chance to interact with a number of firms that support their active and leisure lifestyles. Adventure seekers can participate in and learn more about the following activities:
- Helicopter Tours
- Canopy and Zip Line Tours
- BMX
- Mountain Biking
- Skateboarding
- Off-Road and 4×4 Driving
- Grassboarding
Travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, activity instructors, providers of lifestyle clothing and accessories, photography studios, and other associated firms will also exhibit at the Costa Rica Extrema 2012 fair.
Special Activities
- A cross-country and obstacle foot race challenge will take on April 22nd, the same day that Earth Day will be celebrated.
- Mountain bike lovers will have a chance to participate in an intermediate (32 kilometers) or short (16 kilometers) race in Paraiso de Cartago, starting at the fairgrounds.
- Motorcycle riders can join a scenic caravan ride on Saturday, April 21st from Paseo Colon to Campo Ayala in Cartago. Manufacturer United Motors will be debuting its new motorcycle during the event.
