Conchal Reserve and The Westin Golf Resort and Spa Playa Conchal donated new facilities for the local EBAIS (Basic Equipment for Comprehensive Health Care), the local public health care center that provides attention to neighbors of the communities of Brasilito, La Garita, Huacas, Flamingo and Potrero in Guanacaste.

The inauguration of the new location in Brasilito, Cabo Velas, Santa Cruz, took place this Friday, June 30. “The contribution with the new facilities for the EBAIS confirms our commitment to generate social impact that transcends to the community. The access to adequate conditions for health care was a priority and without a doubt it will improve the experience of this important service and the quality of life of the users”, said Gisela Sáchez, Director of Corporate Relations of FIFCO corporation which owns Conchal Reserve.

“This will allow us to continue to provide comprehensive health care services in the primary care level in a more efficient way and with higher quality”, commented Dr. José Retana Arias director of the Santa Cruz healthcare area; and he continued, “the social responsibility of the companies located in the area are an element in favor of the human development of this population, and it ensures the commitment not just of the company and its financial interests but also of the support towards the development of the community in different areas. We are very pleased with this contribution that covers the needs of quality in terms of infrastructure services and medical equipment”.

The EBAIS did a great job of informing and communicating details on the new project to its users. The two closest hospitals to these locations are the Nicoya Hospital and the Liberia Hospital both located at a distance of over 70 kilometers, which is why giving support to the EBAIS is of extreme importance.
