“La Sele” in FIFA’s World Rankings Top 20

Costa Rica’s male National Soccer Team, climbed up from position 21 to 18 in the FIFA World Rankings.  La Sele’s performance during the CONCACAF Russia 2018 World Cup Qualification Rounds where the team classified  undefeated in the first position of Group B influenced this improvement in the world rankings.

Argentina managed to keep its lead of the monthly FIFA world rankings in September, with several changes in the top 10, which also saw Spain forfeiting its place and dropping to 11th position.

Belgium remained in second place, while Germany jumped to third spot.

Brazil has finally found its place in the top five and held fourth position along with Colombia.

Chile dropped down one position to sixth, as well as Portugal which retreated to seventh position, with France holding eighth place.

Uruguay made its way into the top 10 and came in ninth, three positions up from last month’s ranking.

Wales, on the other hand, held tenth place, up one from the previous ranking.
