According to an article in digital newspaper Costa Rica Hoy, American pop queen Lady Gaga‘s concert in Costa Rica has been officially confirmed. Juan Carlos Bonilla, a spokesperson for the the Sports Institute of Costa Rica (ICODER in Spanish) confirmed the rumor, which in Costa Rica began as speculation and hearsay, only to progress to the status of a news leak on Facebook earlier this week.

The tentative dates for Lady Gaga’s presentation are November 2nd, 3rd or 4th, and the venue will be the National Stadium in La Sabana. Mr. Bonilla explained to Costa Rica Hoy that the event was approved three weeks ago by the administrative board of the National Stadium, and the facility has been reserved for those days.

A Facebook Timeline set up since 2011 by the faithful “monsters” (as Lady Gaga’s fans are known), has been teeming with activity ever since the official confirmation of the concert.

More than 5,000 monsters are now officially recognized by Lady Gaga’s record distribution label in Central America, Universal Music, as the official fan club of the artist in Costa Rica. The Club de fans en Costa Rica de Lady GaGa is planning raffles, contests and meet and greet events in preparation for their big day in early November. The first challenge for the monsters is to give their queen the biggest fan base in Costa Rica and gather 7,000 followers from now until July 1st. Their ultimate goal is to beat the Marc Anthony fan club, which currently boasts 12,000 followers and is considered the largest in Costa Rica.
