María Amalia Matamoros Solís is a Costa Rican beauty queen who won the Miss World Costa Rica 2008 pageant and went on to represent her country in Miss World 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa, on December 13, 2008. She has also competed Miss Latin America 2008, where she was a top twelve finalist, and Miss Continente Americano 2009. She was also elected in Los Angeles, California, as PANAMERICAN MISS INTERNATIONAL 2014, in which representatives of 16 Latin American countries. Maria Amalia is currently preparing as one of the finalists of Miss Costa Rica 2016.
