U.S. actor Matt Damon, famous for films like “Invictus” and “The Bourne Identity”, is vacationing in the Pacific beaches of Costa Rica, local media reported Monday.
The actor arrived in Costa Rica on July 15 and has been seen in the northern Pacific beaches of Costa Rica, which are often visited by celebrities worldwide due to its natural beauty and privacy.
Damon, who likes surfing, signed autographs and took pictures with people who have approached him in Costa Rica, with whom he has shown to be friendly, Costa Rican media reports show some of those pictures.
The media have also reported the presence in a Pacific beach of actor Terrence Howard, who played Colonel “James Rhodes” in the movie “Iron Man”.
This year Costa Rican beaches have been visited by many celebrities worldwide as the Australian actor Christopher Hemsworth, star of the movie “Thor” and his wife, Elsa Pataky, also visited.
The couple was in Costa Rica in January, the same month that the teen star Myley Cyrus and boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, brother of Christopher, were seen.
The beaches of Guanacaste, Costa Rica’s usual destination when celebrities are looking for a holiday, including celebrities such as Mel Gibson, Gisele Bundchen and husband Tom Brady, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and George Cloney, among others.
