Managua – The citizens’ verification process in Nicaragua to improve voters’ registers for the November 4 municipal elections, entered its second day on Sunday.

Nearly 4,296 Verification Centers nationwide opened early today, so citizens over 16 can check the correct inclusion of their names and address in the electoral roll.

In case of any mistake, voters are eligible to rectify their personal data at the moment, or can begin the procedures to be included in the electoral register.

During the process, voters will also receive information on the exact place where they can vote to elect the mayor, deputy mayor and council people in their municipalities.

Thousands of citizens went to those centers on Saturday to verify the possibility to vote in the coming municipal elections, as the Constitution establishes.

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and the coordinator of the Communication and Citizenship Council, Rosario Murillo, revised their personal data at a center in the Central University of Nicaragua, in Managua.
