It was supposed to open doors the first semester of 2018, and finally, after some delays, Oxígeno (Oxygen) Human Playground is ready for a pre-opening, which means it will open doors to the public even though they are still working on some areas.

The date announced by the Oxigeno complex in Heredia is this Tuesday, November 20 , at 10 a.m.; however, on Thursday, November 22 they will be inaugurating Christmas with decorations and activities for the whole family.

Oxigeno Human Playground is not another shopping center, this is a very different concept that offers five different “worlds”, the first of which will be named “Vivir” (to live) and it will be a space with mobile infrastructure that will adapt accordingly for the presentation of circuses, theater, concerts, and other activities. The second sector, “Respirar” (to breathe) is inspired in sports and with the idea of practicing different activities such as climbing hiking walls, surfing artificial waves, practicing canopy, etc. “Sentir” (to feel) is the name given to the third “world”, and its inspired by fashion; recognized brands and designers’ stores both national and international will be found here; this sector will also host fashion shows. The last “world” will be “Ser” (to be) and it’s focused on children entertainment; a playground that will involve physical activities as well as cognitive abilities.

A seven-lane pool, a 1500 square meters (16,145 square ft.) gym, a jogging trail, an adventure park with rollglider, rope park, 8 movie theaters and much more are just part of the attractions that will be found at Oxigeno.

This is a project of development company Cuestamoras which invested over U.S. $200 million in this mega-project which involves an area of 200,000 square meters of construction; this first stage involves the areas of entertainment, sports , recreation and commerce, the final stage, which is expected to be concluded by 2020, is a condominium –residential area.
