Crystal Weekes Taekwondo Costa Rica

Crystal Weekes of Port Richmond added the Costa Rica Taekwondo Open Championship to her growing martial arts resume.

Weekes, 14, captured the female junior heavyweight division to become a two-time gold medalist at the tournament.

She is the youngest member of the USA Junior World Team and now prepares for an international competition Oct. 14-17 in Bolivia.

The biggest prize?

The Port Richmond HS freshman has her eyes on the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Brazil. 
