Fashionable Ticas who already familiar with Spanish brand OPI and its Nail Bar in Multiplaza Escazu will be happy to know that its second Costa Rica location is opening in Multiplaza del Este.

 

OPI is a fashion nail giant that is known for its innovative products, interesting polishes and attractive lacquers. Its Coca Cola collection of lacquers, for example, is inspired by the soft drink giant’s products such as Fanta, Cherry Coke, Sprite, etc. There’s also a collection based on some of the iconic female characters who have appeared in James Bond films over the decades, to wit: Solitaire, Tiffany Case, Vesper Lynd, Honey Rider, Jinx, and (but of course) Pussy Galore.

 

According to business magazine Revista Summa, this second OPI Nail Bar required an investment of $60,000. It appears to be well-positioned to take advantage of the retail store traffic at Multiplaza del Este, which is a shopping mall situated in an area that is more densely populated than Escazu. Women in the eastern suburbs of San Jose are also more likely to have busier work schedules than their counterparts in Escazu, which means that they will directly benefit from the express treatments offered by the OPI Nail Bar.

 

Although competition in the saturated beauty salon sector in Costa Rica is very high, businesses that provide quality, innovative solutions to their clients are likely to succeed. Busy Ticas may feel a sense of loyalty to their neighborhood beauty salon, but they are bound to test new quality services that are also innovative. In this sense, the OPI Nail Bar is poised to capture considerable market share.
