A digital photo featuring the labia majora of a popular lingerie model from Costa Rica is being furiously shared on social networks, and the model in question has taken exception to the uproar that a glimpse of her genitalia has caused.

Melissa Mora is known as a bikini model, pop singer and reality TV show contestant who always seems to find herself in the media spotlight for various reasons, which often tend to be salacious. This time around, the sordid state of affairs involving Melissa Mora is centered on a single photo taken during a live performance at the Pedregal Center, one of the largest convention and performance spaces in Costa Rica.

It so happens that Miss Mora suffered a wardrobe malfunction while onstage at the Pedregal Center this past weekend. She was wearing a diminutive and incredibly tight pair of denim shorts, perhaps smaller than g-string lace panties, which failed to keep her genitalia in place. A photo featuring one of her labiate folds was posted on Facebook, the most popular social network in Costa Rica. From that point on, the photo quickly made it to other social networks and achieved viral status.

Initially, Miss Mora told daily tabloid Diario Extra that the pictured labium was a fake, a crude artifice perpetrated with image editing software such as Photoshop. Hours later, however, she posted the following message on her popular Facebook Timeline:

Good evening to all who at this moment are connected to social networks, just like me.

My friends, it really does not matter how much your enemies try to trample you, deflate you and pummel you with all kinds of wicked maneuvers for the purpose of bringing us down. Those of us who love ourselves so that we can give love to others will always learn from life’s many situations.

Yesterday at the Pedregal Center something insignificant happened to me, but others have taken this happenstance as an opportunity to hurt me, at least that is what they want. I am well; thank God I see things from a different point of view and not like furtive people. Today, I feel whole, healthy and blessed with a great family.

I invite all those who feel pressured and deceived to seek the only one who can bring true happiness, the only one who can turn the bad times into good times.
