Saturday, March 11, 11 a.m., the first Street Food Festival in Costa Rica will bring you a wide choice of delicious culinary options.

Twenty food trucks, among them Wiches, Garibaldi, Papata, La Ventanita Meraki, Delitruck and La Cebichería, will be present at this festival that will take place at the Kölbi Event Center in Parque Viva, La Guácima, Alajuela.

Different flavors and styles hope to satisfy the offer of all the assistants to this event that will also be able to enjoy craft beer from the Costa Rica’s Craft Brewing Company and Domingo 7, and for those that prefer wine, a large selection will also be available.

Live music by different local artists and different products from the artisan fair El Mercadito will also be available at the event.

Costa Rica will host semifinal of International Paella Contest

As part of this Street Food Festival, the public will be able to witness the semi-final of the International Paella Valenciana Contest; the winner of the contest will represent Costa Rica in the event that will take place in Sueca, Valencia, Spain. The Paella is rice dish which originates from Valencia, Spain, the seafood paella version is probably the most widely known, but it can also be vegan or mixed. Restaurant La Lluna de Valencia will have different alternatives of this delicious dish available at the event.

General entrance is a voluntary donation of a minimum 1,000 colones (under $2) that will be donated to Lifting Hands foundation.

A VIP area will be available at a cost of 25,000 colones (under $50) that will include two beverages and five Spanish “tapas”, tickets can be purchased at Boleteria.cr
