4.2 Earthquake Shakes Costa Rica

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake was felt in most of the Great Metropolitan Area of Costa Rica the evening of this Thursday, November 22 at around 10:39 p.m.

According to the National Seismology Network, the epicenter was 1km, East of Purral in Goicoechea.

The movement was felt as strong in most of San Jose, Heredia and Alajuela.

The origin of the earthquake is a fault of the Caribbean plate.
