You can now carry out face-to-face interactions with Spirit Airlines representatives in downtown San José, Costa Rica, thanks to an alliance with a Costa Rican travel agency.
The office is located near the city’s main thoroughfare, Paseo Colón, north of the Centro Colón building.
The budget airline said that because Costa Rica is one of their main points of operation in Central America, the company decided to offer personal commercial services. This year marks Spirit’s tenth year of operation in Costa Rica.
Up until now, customers have utilized Spirit’s website and call center. Now reservations, payments or queries can be made in person as well.
Spirit senior commercial manager for Latin America, Manuel Jaquez, said the company has trained Viajeros Latinos S.A. travel agency employees to be Spirit representatives after an exhaustive search to find the right company to meet their requirements.
Viajeros Latinos S.A. is owned by NWQ Holding, which since 2015 has handled all travel arrangements for the national soccer federation.
The office is located 175 meters north of Centro Colón, on 38th Street; hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. The phone number is 4032-9400.
Spirit Airlines is one of the most important low cost airlines in the United States. In Costa Rica, it arrives into and departs from the Juan Santamaría International Airport in Alajuela, 20 minutes west of San José.
The company is headquartered in Miramar, Florida in the metropolitan area of Miami. Currently, it flies to 61 destinations throughout Central America, the Caribbean, South America and the United States. It has bases at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the Detroit International Airport.
