The expo (La ExpoConstrucción y Vivienda) will be held at the Pedregal Events Center in Belén, Heredia and be open until September 2. The principal sponsor is Banco de Costa Rica, which has appropriated $60 million dollars for mortgage loans.

Banco de Costa Rica will be offering loans in colones and dollars. They will offer 30 year loans with fixed-rates in colones at rates from 11.75% to 12% for the first three to five years. In the case of U.S. dollar loans, they will offer 25 years mortgages at fixed rates of 6% for the first three years.

Mortgages will also be available from other competitive banks such as; Banco Popular, Banco National de Costa Rica, BAC San José, MUCAP, Scotiabank and Mutual Alajuela.

Banco de Costa Rica has various lots and homes available from ¢2 million to ¢135 million colones that they will be offering at auction during this event. Many of these properties are located around the central valley and there are others in rural areas like San Carlos as well as in the coastal areas like Limon.
