An attractive woman who is very fond of documenting her lavish lifestyle on the online social network Instagram was arrested earlier this month by agents from the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) service. According to the British tabloid The Daily Mail, the 39-year old glamorous woman was trying to smuggle nearly six kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in powder form.

The woman, who has been identified as Anett Pikula from Mexico, drove up to the border crossing point at Lukeville, located in the state of Arizona. She was driving a gold-colored Mercedes Benz sedan and was accompanied by one passenger, also from Mexico. According to The Daily Mail, Ms. Pikula wore tight-fitting designer attire that accentuated her shapely figure as she attempted to enter the U.S. with her illicit cargo.

Ms. Pikula actually passed the initial checkpoint at the border without raising any suspicion; however, The Daily Mail explains that she got overconfident and started flirting with the male CBP officers too much. Her gestures were overly seductive: her voice became husky, she slightly bit her lower lip, she played with her hair, and pushed her considerable cleavage forward.

In the end, Ms. Pikula’s flirtatious behavior would prove to be her downfall. The CBP officers ordered Ms. Pikula to go through a secondary inspection, whereby K-9 officers detected the scent of narcotics. Ms. Pikula’s Mercedes Benz sedan was further examined with x-ray and densitometry equipment; this inspection revealed that cocaine packs has been carefully packed behind the front panels of the vehicle.

A background investigation conducted by The Daily Mail revealed that Ms. Pilkula owns an apartment in a sleepy suburb of Phoenix, and that she filed for bankruptcy in 2010 after accumulating about $100,000 of debt, which had become unmanageable. Ms. Pikula’s financial situation would later improve, as the filing was dismissed a year later and her social media accounts began to show her penchant for traveling to exotic coastal destinations, flaunting her figure in designer bikinis, drinking champagne, etc.

Ms. Pikula was detained under suspicion of smuggling nearly $134,000 worth of cocaine. Since reports of the arrest, her social media accounts have been flooded with derisive comments about her lifestyle and current predicament.
