Mexico City, Nov 23 (EFE).– The Federal District Attorney’s Office, working with federal law enforcement personnel, arrested three men and a woman, and 17 victims of sexual exploitation were rescued in Mexico City, officials said.

The victims, all adult women, were forced to provide sexual services at the Desexxx3 bar in the Mexico City borough of Centro, the DA’s office said in a statement.

Bar owner Ricardo Reynoso Ramirez and employees Miguel Hernandez Suarez, Marcelo Dominguez Guevara and Flor Maria Herbert Luna were arrested in the raid.

Investigators have determined that the suspects hired the women as dancers but forced them to get patrons to buy drinks, pay for exotic dances and have sex, the DA’s office said.

The women were forced to give half their earnings to Reynoso Ramirez and were fined for missing work, prosecutors said. EFE

Bogota, Nov 23 (EFE).– Colombian police have dismantled a human-trafficking ring that operated in southern Colombia and neighboring Ecuador, authorities said Monday.

The organization tricked underage girls into being taken to Florencia, the capital of Caqueta Province, promising to enter them in the “Chica Verano” (Summer Girl) contest in Tumaco, Nariño province, police said in a communique.

According to the authorities, the ring bought clothes and provided upkeep for the girls, who were later forced into sexual slavery at bars located in different municipalities along Colombia’s Pacific coast and in certain towns of Ecuador.

Seven of the people traffickers were nabbed in the operation.

Those under arrest were identified as Sandra Carvajal Gonzalez, Marleny Carvajal Gonzalez, Ada Villadiego Carvajal and Roger Santos Villadiego.

At the same time, Luis Carvajal Gonzalez, Wilson Castro Motta and Alba Castro Motta were taken into custody and will be indicted for crimes of criminal conspiracy and human trafficking. EFE
