Expatriate experts include Ottawa native Liisa Vexler living in Costa Rica, Torontonian Kelly McLaughlin in Mexico and Erika Macauley from Saskatchewan, now based in Honduras. Liisa Vexler is an  ultra-nice Canadian woman who moved to Costa Rica inspired by a desire to give her kids a global perspective. After several years in Costa Rica, she and her family now split their time between Ottawa and Costa Rica, interspersed with trips to discover the sights, sounds and tastes of other parts of the world.
