Danny Formal and Charlie Fonseca are competing this weekend in the fourth date of the Florida Karting Championship Series in the Rok Cup 2017.

Both pilots have been taking part in the Costa Rica Touring Car Championship which had its second date just last weekend; they have been balancing out their participation in both competitions.

“For me this is a very intense weekend, in which we will try to win the Florida championship and if we do well in the race we will have the option to also come out as winners in the category Shift Rok of the Eastern region of the United States, which is a big challenge for me”, explained Danny Formal.

Shift Rok are six speed karts that can make 160 kilometers per hour (99 miles per hour).

Charlie Fonseca also showed his optimism mentioning he expects to make the top 5.

The event will take place at the Orlando Kart Center, a very technical track that requires a lot of concentration from the drivers.

Formal and Fonseca know they are facing strong competition, good pilots that are very familiar with the track, which gives puts the Costa Ricans in disadvantage, but they don’t let this impress them:

“We are happy with the experience we have acquired by participating in the CTCC, we believe we are going to have a good outcome, we are going for the title”, said Formal.

Danny Formal has won 7 national championships in the United States
