Those that grew up listening to the popular bands of the 80’s, Toto, Chicago, Journey and Kansas will have a chance to listen to some of these bands’ big hits November 19 at Parque Viva, Costa Rica.
Kevin Chalfant who sat in for Steve Perry in Journey; Bill Champlin, main singer for Chicago (1982-2009); Bobby Kimball the original and longtime frontman of Toto (1977-1984 and 1998-2008); John Elefante vocalist for Kansas (1982-1984) and Tamara Champlin, singer and songwriter who has performed and written for several singers and currently part of the Sons of Champlin, will all be sharing the stage at Parque Viva for the concert Rockpack.
Marvin Córdoba Producciones is in charge of the production and organization of the event , ticket information will be available in the next few weeks. According to Córdoba, each of the artists will be performing five songs, among them Faithfully (Journey), I Don’t Want to Live Without Your Love (Chicago), Rosanna (Toto), Dust in the Wind (Kansas) and You Won’t Get to Heaven Alive (Tamara Champlin).
The band Journey had a presentation in Costa Rica back in 1999 when their lead singer was Steve Avery; while Toto performed at the Herradura Amphitheater in the year 2000 .
Both Journey and Chicago were recently inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
