An outdoor, casual environment for lunch, dinner, and afternoon snacks invites diners in Curridabat to a newly opened food truck park in this eastern San José, Costa Rica suburb called “Food Truck Park Calle Vieja

With seven trucks, that include a minibar and an ice cream cart, the eateries are open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Diners can sit in roofer corridors alongside the trucks, and there is a parking lot for 30 cars.

The Food Truck Park is located 250 meters east of the Pinares Walmart, along the old road to Tres Ríos.
“It’s a lot like a food court in a mall where you order at the cart you want, and sit down to eat with your family wherever you like,” said Shirley Calvo, a member of the Foodtrucks Association of Costa Rica.
Offerings includes Agüizotes (hamburgers), Garibaldi’s (Mexican food), Go Fish (seafood and sushi), Pinky’s (steak truck), Lizarran (Spanish food), El Coyote (Texas-style food), My Wok (oriental food), and Happy Ice Cream.

The project, which recently launched, began to be developed about six months ago and can be found here
