As it had been previously informed, the fourth edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Guanacaste is scheduled to take place December 28 at Hacienda Pinilla.

The organization of the summer fashion show has confirmed the 48 models were selected out of a casting that had the participation of 170 models. Seven of the models picked are independent while the rest are part of different modeling agencies, The Agency (4), High Select Model Management (12), The One (one), Volt Models Management (2) Vanessa Ruiz Management (3) and Independent Model Management (19).

The event will see several new faces, while others are veterans of the catwalk such as Rachel Stewart, Eduardo Esquivel, Catalina Freer, Terry Edwards and Swami Audino.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Guanacaste is working on getting certified as a carbon neutral event, the same recognition that the Fashion Week San Jose event was awarded earlier this year.

Leonora Jiménez, organizer of the MBFW Guanacaste had mentioned some weeks back that “The biggest transformation the event will have will be on the runway and its format. It will be a big surprise”.

These event will be covered by international fashion media such as Vogue Magazine and E! Entertainment Television.

In addition to this renovations, this time four national designers will have their debut at the MBFW, Carmiña Romero, Frank Fernández (Ninfo), John Howard and Concepción Miranda; Fernández and Howard are designers of male clothes.

The four designers will join three other national talents that have already had participation in previous events, Maria Lourdes Castro (Guayaberi), Melissa Kopper (Truko) and Fabrizzio Berrocal.
