US Pedophile Wanted by Costa Rican Police Arrested in Guatemala

James Wallace Kirgin also known as James David McDonald, one of the most wanted man by Costa Rican justice was detained this Thursday, December 28 in Guatemala City.

The Guatemala National Civil Police confirmed the arrest which took place in Zona 1 in the capital city.

56-year-old Kirgin was wanted by the Interpol at the request of Costa Rica authorities accused of “committing sexual and erotic remunerated acts against minors”.

Kirgin was on the run since 2003 after being sentenced for 7 sexual charges. There is no information on Kirgin’s whereabouts for the past 14 years or for how long he had been living in Guatemala, however it was confirmed he was using the fake name of James David McDonald and apparently he had plastic surgery to try to avoid the authorities.

The man is a native of New Jersey and lived in Costa Rica at the beginning of the 90’s. He will remain in prison in Guatemala until the process of extradition is completed .
