La Luz Gastronomy Festival in Barrio Escalante will take place this year on February 18 starting at 11 a.m. and through 8 p.m. This year the Festival will have the participation of 15 restaurants and the usual food trucks and picnic area.

According to Carolina Rojas, part of the organization of the event, this year the Festival will have just this one date, while in previous years the Festival has been hosted twice.

The family activity will also feature live music, art, street artists, and stands featuring artisan products and handcrafted articles, among others.

Saul Bistro, Frida’s Pub, Costa Rica Beer Factory, Il Volpino, Sofia Mediterraneo, Luna Roja, are just some of the participating restaurants.

La Luz Gastronomy Festival was created with the idea of bringing together art, culture and gastronomy in an open space that helps the community share experiences and take advantage of the public spaces of the city.
