We’re not Going to Make America Great Again, It was Never That Great: Ding Ding Ding

Last week New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo set off a firestorm of controversy when he said this during a bill-signing ceremony in New York City: “We’re not going to make America great again. It was never that great.” With these words from the governor of the great state of New York listeners gasped while others awkwardly laughed and cheered.

No sooner did Cuomo udder these words his back peddling began. The blow back on Cuomo was swift – even from fellow Democrats and mainstream media who has rebroadcast Cuomo’s statement repeatedly. But be sure that Cuomo meant every word he said. He spoke from his heart and he got burned for doing it. But deep down Cuomo as well as Democratic leaders like California Gov. Jerry ‘Moonbeam’ Brown would just as soon dismantle the U.S. Constitution and replace it with some disguised form of Socialism. That is the end game for so-called leaders of America like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT). These people hate President Donald Trump and this ‘racist’ U.S. Constitution.

Cuomo’s explanation for saying America “was never that great” was shallow and 100-percent insincere. Whatever credibility Cuomo had is now lost to the political winds and he cannot get it back. Chances are Cuomo’s late father – Mario Cuomo – a truly great American and former Democratic New York governor may have spit in his son’s face after hearing those words. But it’s not over for Cuomo. He’s running for a 3rd-term as governor. On Sept. 13, the New York Democratic primary election will be held with Cynthia Nixon being Cuomo’s main rival to go up against Republican conservative Marc Molinaro in November.

More than likely Molinaro doesn’t stand a chance at victory – not in liberal infested New York.

Nixon, a former actress and political activist, is a far-left-wing candidate that openly endorses Democratic Socialism right in there with Vermont Sen. Sanders. New York voters may turn on Cuomo and choose the charismatic but loony Nixon.

What Cuomo, Nixon, Brown, Waters, Pelosi, Schumer, Sanders and the rest of establishment Democrats fail to recognize is that America’s greatness has always been held within its compassionate people who have a sense of duty toward their neighbors and the United States of America – those that stand for the National Anthem during sports events that do not sit on their hands and whine about social injustice while making millions throwing a football around. So far football’s pre-season games are seeing half-filled viewing stands and fewer season ticket sales. Many pro-football fans are turning to college football for their weekend football fix. Home viewership — for Monday and Thursday night National Football League games as well as those on Sunday — is way down while ratings for reruns of the Simpsons TV comedy are way up.

Cable sports network ESPN announced last week they would no longer broadcast the traditional National Anthem opening ceremonies. No more seeing the military and fans honoring the U.S. flag with a standing tribute to the ‘Star Spangled Banner.’ Professional sports have always been about money. Sooner or later these millionaire football players will start whining about the inevitable 20-to-30-percent pay cut about to come their way due to fans turning their backs on NFL football.

President Trump knows exactly what and who makes America great – it’s volunteer firefighters, it’s the all-volunteer U.S. military and local, state and federal law enforcement officers, it’s the school teachers and church pastors. They don’t do what they do out of a sense of glory, but rather a sense of duty. It’s the hidden Good Samaritans that do wonderful things in their communities without any need for recognition or reward. That’s what makes America great – not the grumbling liberals.

This sense of duty is all but lost with today’s version of the Democratic Party. Their sense of duty is to obstruct, resist and scream “racist” at every turn. The entire current Democratic Party deserves to be kicked to the curb of obscurity come the Nov. 6 mid-term elections – now only 11-weeks away. Their form of liberalism is what tears down the USA and it’s up to strong hard working American citizens – white, black and Hispanic — to vote them out of existence, not only placed on the endangered species list — but extinct.
