US Ambassador to Costa Rica, Sharon Day, celebrated her first year as head of the US Embassy in Costa Rica, Day, highlighted the natural beauties she has encountered in the country as well as the warmth with which she was received in the country.

Day has worked for more than 20 years for the U.S. Republican party at the local, state and national levels, and most recently in leadership positions as Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee and Secretary of the Republican National Committee. Earlier in her career, she started several businesses in the insurance and marketing industry, creating jobs for hundreds of individuals and families.
