The building of the Ministry of Treasury was the target of an attack with molotov cocktails (bottle bombs) the evening of this Thursday, November 29, confirmed the Ministry of Security, Michael Soto this morning, who also confirmed that the attackers left a note attached to the fence on the northern side of the building. The homemade bombs only caused one of the windows to break.
¨Its a coward act with psychopathic characteristics, with an intimidation purpose. The person that wrote it will feel satisfaction with the attention this is getting¨, added Soto.
The note left behind read:
¨In response to the imminent attack of the poorest sectors. The working sector. The undeniable growth of poverty that will come with a regressive (fiscal) plan, charging to the people a crisis caused by the rich. While evaders continue to be forgiven.
We organized ourselves, and we inform the authorities of this country that we are not defeated, we will continue fighting, we will continue acting, in all ways necessary, to remind you that you may have (control of) all the branches and institutions of this country, but we have taken the streets and each public space. There are many of us, and we are everywhere, we have one face, the face of the people¨.
Walter Espinoza, director of the Judiciary Investigative Police (OIJ), informed that they had collected all evidence at the scene to continue the investigation and try to find those responsible for the act.
