The manga, anime, comics and television Matsuri International Convention will take place April 1st and 2nd at Costa Rica’s National Stadium.

Austin Amelio, American actor known for his role as Dwight in the popular TV series The Walking Dead, will be participating in the festival, signing autographs, taking photos with fans, Meet and Greet and will be part of a discussion panel focused exclusively on The Walking Dead.

“I am very excited to be going to Costa Rica, I can’t wait. I have been studying a lot about the country and where I can take a motorcycle ride. I want to see all the beautiful places, beaches and get to know the city and learn about its culture and art”, said the actor to Viva section of national newspaper La Nacion.

This year’s edition of the Matsuri convention will offer food stands, music and it will have different recreational and educational spaces, guests include:

Marc Deering: American comic book inker, who has worked for the likes of D.C. Comics, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, IDW and Avatar Press.

John Timms: Costa Rican  comic book artist currently working exclusively with D.C. Comics.

Dan Mora:  Comic book artist from Costa Rica who won the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award in the last Comic-Con in San Diego, CA. He currently works for  Boom! Studios, Marvel y D.C. Comics

The tickets for the Matsuri Convention 2017  are available with three different price options: ¢5,000 (under $10.00 USD)  general entrance for one day, ¢30,000 which includes two days entrance, Austin Amelio’s  signed photograph, and an exclusive poster by John Timms and Marc Deering;  and ¢50,000 (under $100 USD) which includes entrance to both days, t-shirt, an opportunity to take a photo with Austin Amelio during the Meet and Greet and a poster by John Timms and Marc Deering.
