Amazon Opens Seller Support Hub in Costa Rica and Will Create 350 New Jobs

Amazon Costa Rica announced today the inauguration of the new Seller Support Hub in El Tobogan Corporate Center in Barrio Tournón, San Jose, as the first step of a series of changes that would generate up to 1,500 new jobs this 2018.

With an investment of close to U.S. $10 million, the Amazon Costa Rica team will offers support and attention to small and medium size companies that sell through Amazon Marketplace.

“Half of the items sold in Amazon around the world are from small and medium size companies that offer their products through Amazon Marketplace. By offering them a high level of support we help them grow and expand their business”, explained David Graham, Seller and Vendor Support Director for Amazon.

Amazon Costa Rica began its Seller Support Operations in 2009 with just 30 workers.

Through a press release, the company, that currently employees 900 workers, stated they are proud to continue investing in Costa Rica, “We have found great talent, that has allowed us to build a great team that demonstrates every day their obsession to provide the best attention to our clients”, affirmed Alejandro Filloy, General Manager of Amazon Costa Rica.
Amazon operates other offices in Costa Rica, one in Ultrapark, Heredia, another one in the American Free Zone in San Francisco de Heredia and in Zona Franca del Este in Calle Blancos; in all they currently employ 6500 and it expects to generate another 1,500 new positions in the country this 2018.
