Another Costa Rican Makes the MLS – Allan Cruz Signs with FC Cincinnati

Costa Rican Allan Cruz will be part of the MLS after signing with the F.C. Cincinnati. The 23-year-old midfielder travelled this week to the United States to sign his agreement with this soccer club.

Cruz, who played in Costa Rica with Heredia and with the national soccer team will join also Costa Rican Kendall Waston who signed with Cincinnati back in December.

According to preliminary information, Cruz will sign for three years.

Initially it had been said that Cruz was going to join Cincinnati after Heredia concluded the Concacaf Champions League, however, it has now been confirmed that he will join for the expansion team’s preseason.

Cruz had to undergo a physical check-up in the United States prior to signing with the team. He has also recently been called to join La Sele by new head coach Gustavo Matosas.

Herediano will keep between a 30-40% of the Costa Rican’s transfer.

For several years now, Costa Rica has become an important talent pool of soccer players for the MLS.
