The legendary National Men’s Football of Brazil, known around the world as La Selecao, recently tendered the list of players who will face Costa Rica’s National Team on September 5^th at the Red Bull Arena of New Jersey. This friendly international match is part of the FIFA commitments that member nations must adhere to, and it signals a major training opportunity for Costa Rica, a national team that has yet to win a single match this year.

 

According to a Twitter update posted by the Brazilian Football Federation on August 13^th, team manager and coach Dunga is calling up the heavy artillery for the upcoming match. Among those called up by Dunga are Neymar and Dani Alves, who play for the FC Barcelona in the Spanish League. Other notable names on the list are Danilo, who is a teammate of Tico goalkeeper Keylor Navas in the Spanish club Real Madrid. Other players currently signed up in European clubs include David Luiz, Oscar, Ramires, Douglas Costa, and Hulk.

 

An interest cap for La Selecao is Kaka, a veteran star from a time when Brazil was an even more dominant football force. The attacking midfielder currently plays for the Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer.

 

The Costa Rican National Team, affectionately known as La Sele, has yet to announce its lineup for this match. In fact, La Sele is currently scrambling to find a team manager and coach since Paulo Cesar Wanchope recently resigned after an ugly brawl on the sideline during an international match in Panama. The scuffle against a stadium security guard was caught on film and shared across social media, eventually making sports headlines around the world.

 

After the next few friendly international matches, La Sele will start its qualification series for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by Russia. Football fans expect an eventual return of jogo bonito for this match.
