The Central American Bank for Economic Integration – CABEI and the Bank of Costa Rica, signed a transaction for 100 million dollars under the modality of outlay of a global credit line destined as work capital to promote productive sectors.

The resources will be used by BCR to finance the operations of “mipymes”, small and mid-size companies of the manufacturing, agriculture and cooperative sectors, in addition to a component destined to housing.

“This is a sign of the trust of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration on the macroeconomic stability of the country and its politics of economic reactivation”, commented Ottón Solís, representative of Costa Rica at CABEI.

He added that “this disbursement joins the financing of a series of projects in areas such as infrastructure, clean energy, agriculture, sustainable transportation, culture, education, among others that help the comprehensive development of the country”.

For more than 20 years, Banco de Costa Rica, the second most important of the financial system, has been a strategic ally to CABEI in the channeling of big resources to large, mid and small companies as well as the institution sector.
