Celebrated actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are often considered to be Hollywood royalty, and they recently visited Costa Rica to enjoy the Gold Coast beaches of the Guanacaste province.
The fabulous couple and their two children were in Costa Rica to relax during Spring Break. According to a news report filed by Allan Andino of national newspaper La Nacion, the film stars arrived at the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport on Sunday, March 15. It is interesting to note that while many celebrities from the worlds of entertainment and professional sports often land in Costa Rica via private jets or via special charter flights, this family chose a commercial passenger flight.
On Facebook, the gorgeous Welsh actress posted a selfie with the message:
Costa Rica! Beautiful country.
Beautiful people!
Have had the best week here with my family on the children’s spring break.
The update above was posted on March 19; a more recent update was shared on Instagram and cross-posted to Facebook; it is a photograph of Ms. Zeta-Jones leaning against a palm tree with a pristine beach background. On that photo, the actress is wearing a black shorts-and-t-shirt combination outfit.
Mr. Douglas also shared social media updates of his family’s vacation in Costa Rica on Facebook. According to the report by La Nacion, this was the third time the celebrity couple chose our country to vacation in, although this is the only time they have announced doing so by means of social media or news updates.
Ms. Zeta-Jones and her husband have starred in numerous films throughout their careers. Both actors appeared in the acclaimed 2000 film Traffic, a cinematic work that has been praised for the way it hyperlinked stories about the human impact of the United States War on Drugs.
