Reaction to President Donald Trump’s second State of the Union speech has been swift. In a surprising ‘instant poll’ of speech watchers conducted by mainstream media giant CBS News 76-percent of viewers approved of what they heard in the president’s speech while 72-percent said they approved of the president’s ideas for immigration reform.

This CBS News poll should wake up the obstructionist Democrats. They looked bad as TV cameras scanned the Democrats’ reactions to the president’s speech. It was so obvious that their long faces and head shaking said more about their hate for President Trump than their love of the United States of America.

In an even more surprising ‘instant poll’ conducted by CNN showed similar results with 76-percent having a positive view of the speech while 23-percent had a negative reaction.

These poll numbers are impressive. For the powers that be they probably would have wished these polls had not been conducted and the results released soon after the speech. These numbers give the Democrats little wiggle room.

Especially noteworthy were the reactions from declared presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), former presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). They showed no approval of the president’s speech to the nation. They were right in there with the majority of Democrats that sat on their hands much different than the Republicans who stood time after time cheering on the president and his goals for the coming year.

It is interesting to note that all or most of the newly elected women to the U.S. Congress wore white outfits and sat together in a group. In solidarity, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi also wore white. She sat behind the president alongside Vice President Mike Pence. Pelosi only showed approval of bipartisan common-ground issues but time after time she scowled, frowned and did not stand but only a couple times.

The president’s speech — to a joint-session of Congress — was broadcast live nationwide on all the major mainstream media networks as well as around the world in real time. The State of the Union speech is important in that it shows the nation’s future direction as well as show who will work with the president and not against him. In the coming days it is apparent the Democrats will continue to obstruct and delay anything President Trump tries to accomplish.

Millions of voters watched the speech and the CBS News and CNN polls blatantly illustrate that President Trump is winning. It was apparent that many more members of Congress approve of the president than disapprove. The coming days, weeks and months will tell the tale.

President Trump should get a bump in his overall job-approval ratings across the board. The Democrats have no weapon to use against the president as much as they are trying to find one – anything anywhere – to discredit the Trump administration and bring down the president through impeachment or indictment. It is growing more and more likely the president will remain in office and win again in 2020.

If any political group appears in disarray it’s the Democrats with no strong candidates and no message of hope for the USA except for bringing Socialism and it’s failures to the USA.

“America will never be a Socialist country,” said President Trump during the speech. “The state of our union is strong.”
