The Costa Rica Male National Soccer Team said good bye to the Tico fans with a friendly match against Northern Ireland at the National Stadium.
Goalkeeper Keylor Navas received a recognition from the Costa Rican Soccer Federation (FEDEFUTBOL) before the match started, he played for a little over 30 minutes and was replaced with Leonel Moreira.
The score opened at minute 30′ with a goal by Johan Venegas, this was the only goal in the first half of the game, which “La sele” controlled without much problem.
Just one minute had gone by in the second half when the second goal came, a center by Joel Campbell.
Costa Rica scored the third goal at minute 20′, the work of Francisco Calvo.
“La Sele” generated through Campbell two other opportunities to score but the striker was not able to capitalize.
Head coach Oscar Ramirez gave opportunities to most of the players to show their skills during a game that Costa Rica controlled from beginning to end.
