Travel and Nature journalist, writer, photographer and blogger, Paco Nadal a native from Spain, recently shared in his travel blog in newspaper El Pais, a video that summarizes a year of traveling to eleven countries in five continents and filming with a dron some of the most beautiful places in the world. Costa Rica was one of these countries, others included in the video are: Kazakhstan, Peru, Japan, Australia, Nepal, Spain, Germany, Norway, Greenland and Namibia.

“The dron is another tool in my filming kit, but a wonderful and differential one that allows us to introduce a third dimension to documentaries. The world seen from the air seems like a much more harmonic and beautiful place than from the surface. To celebrate it I’ve created this video with the best images of that journey of 365 days around the world,” wrote Nadal.

Nadal also makes a note clarifying that he had to film Australia’s great coral reef using a light aircraft since the Australian authorities didn’t give him permission to fly the drone over it. “Another example of the paranoia of which many public administrations are part when it comes to the emergence of new technology,” stated Nadal.

Some of the scenes filmed in Costa Rica showcase the Tortuguero Canals, Bahia Ballena and Poas Volcano.
