The sixth edition of the Costa Rica Surfing Awards will recognize the best athletes in this discipline in an event that will take place Saturday, December 22 at La Fira, Via Lindora Shopping Center in Santa Ana, starting at 9 p.m.

The event will bring together athletes such as Leilani McGonagle, Noemar McGonagle, Cali Muñoz, Malakai Martinez, Brisa Hennessey, Eva Woodland and Rubiana Brownwell; it will also have a great musical line-up with Mustang65, Dj Chris and Selecta Brethren.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase at the Roca Bruja stores and also at Rip Curl in Jacó Beach, the prize is of 5 thousand colones.

The Costa Rica Surfing Awards has the support of the Surf Federation of Costa Rica, the judges are certified and there won’t be popular vote to avoid favoritism; it recognizes the achievements of surfers in different categories, among them, surfer of the year, biggest wave, best photo, best skimboard maneuver, aerial of the year, to mention just a few.

Winners in each category will get a personalized trophy, cash prizes, sponsor products, scolarships, and airplane tickets courtesy of Avianca Life Miles.
