It’s already December 23 and many begin their vacation period today, many businesses in Costa Rica also remain closed this last week of the year. Banks usually have special schedules during the holiday season, it is important that you take this into consideration if you have to make payments, deposits or any other diligence in a Costa Rican bank.

The Costa Rican Banking Association released the scheduled the different banks will be handling this next week and through January 1st. Banks will resume normal operations on January 2, 2018.

All banks will remain closed all day the 25th of December (Christmas Day Celebration) and January 1st since both days are legal holidays.

BAC Credomatic:
Dec. 24: Branches at shopping centers will open from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. all other branches will remain closed.
Dec.26-Dec.28: Regular Schedule
Dec. 29: Branches open in a regular schedule. Administrative offices remain closed.
Dec. 30: Branches at shopping centers will open from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. all other branches will remain closed.
Dec.31: Closed

BCT Bank:
Dec. 24: Closed
Dec. 26-Dec.28: Regular Schedule
Dec. 29-Jan 1: Closed

Cathay Bank:
Dec. 24: Mini agencies work in normal schedule. The rest of the branches remain closed.

Dec.24: Agencies that usually open on Sunday will close at 4 p.m.

Dec.29: Agencies in downtown San Jose will be closed. The rest of the agencies work normal schedule.
