Costa Rican BMX rider Kenneth Tencio is getting ready to participate in the world-renowned Simple Session 17 event in the Saku Arena, Tallin, Estonia, event that will take place next weekend, February 4th and 5th.

Tencio will be competing against 139 participants from 30 different countries. This is the second time the Costa Rican is part of this competition, last year he finished in the top 20 and he expects to improve his ranking this year and get a position among the top 10.

Earlier this month the BMX street and park rider inaugurated his skatepark “10cio Park” located in Jaco, Puntarenas; (watch inauguration video at the end of the article) Tencio had mentioned that one of his main goals with the opening of the park was to be able to prepare better for international competitions, since there are no places in the country that offer the facilities and the ramps found at this world-class events. However, he has had very limited time to prepare, according to his statements to national media.

“This tournament will help me find out what my level is right now, I do feel better physically, since I have been receiving assistance from a nutritionist, I will give it 100% as I always do”, commented Tencio.

The Simple Session event is just the first of many competitions Kenneth will be attending this year, and he expects to be at the peak of his performance for the World Series competitions that will begin in May.

Tencio has been competing professionally for 10 years and currently  holds the 11th position in the World Cycling Union (UCI) ranking as freestyle cyclist.
