Costa Rica’s Street Food Festival Will Be Back For a Second Edition in 2018

More than 11,000 people loved the concept of the Street Food Festival that took place in the Kölbi Center in Parque Viva, Costa Rica earlier this year, the success was such that the organizers decided to do a second edition the presence this 2018.

The Street Food Festival this year had the participation of 25 food trucks and stands offering different gastronomy options, live music, kids zone, among other amenities; the second edition will improve the experience adding more culinary alternatives, and offering more activities for the entire family.

We can now confirm that the Street Food Festival will happen on Saturday, March 3 at Kölbi Center in Parque Viva and we will have more food trucks participating. We want people to spend a different kind of day, with great food and fun, in company of their families or friends”, said Edgar Cárdenas, project manager at Parque Viva.

Live music, kids areas, “el mercadito” which offers stands with different artisan products, will continue to be part of the offer as well as the paella contest organized with the support of renown Spanish restaurant La Lluna de Valencia.

The registration period to participate in the paella valenciana contest is already open for chefs and cooks and will have a cost of $300 which includes the training, also, two master classes by chef Jesus Melero, international organizer and member of the jury; the ingredients necessary to prepare the paella are also included in the registration fee. The Paella is rice dish which originates from Valencia, Spain, the seafood paella version is probably the most widely known, but it can also be vegan or mixed. Restaurant La Lluna de Valencia will have different alternatives of this delicious dish available at the event.
