Jumping ahead of former Vice President Joe Biden – Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders – a self-described Democratic Socialist has officially entered the 2020 presidential race in hopes of unseating President Donald Trump.

Sanders, 77, if elected would be 79-years-ago upon taking office Jan. 20, 2021. News reports say other mainstream Democrats urged Sanders not to run in 2020, but as usual this rogue senator sails his ship his way. He supports Medicare for all, free tuition for public colleges and raising the federal minimum wage to $15-per-hour plus other so-called “progressive” ideas such as a drastic reduction in defense spending and let diplomacy keep America safe.

In 2016, Sanders ran for president against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He was first considered a political long shot right in there with real estate mogul Donald Trump, but Sanders gave Clinton a run for the money by winning 23 primaries and caucuses plus 43-percent of the delegates at the Democratic National Convention to Clinton’s rigged 55-percent. As the campaign unfolded the Clinton forces managed to persuade Sanders to drop out of the presidential race and endorse Clinton.

“All of these ideas are now part of political mainstream,” said Sanders on Tuesday in numerous TV news interviews. “Universal Healthcare is a right not a privilege.”

Sanders went on say that President Trump is the “most dangerous” president in American history. Oh really Bernie?

Other than identifying political trends, early polls — 21-months out from the November 2020 national election — are useless but here’s the current lineup for the Democratic Presidential Nomination according to poll averages conducted by Real Clear Politics. Biden 27-percent, Sanders 17-percent and U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) 10-percent, while the other declared candidates are at 7-percent or less.

Undeclared potential candidate former New York City mayor and billionaire business man Michael Bloomberg polls at only 3–percent. Perhaps it is Bloomberg who is most feared by mainstream Democrats because according to Wikipedia he is the 11th richest person in the world. He recently changed his political affiliation from Independent to Democrat and he could self-finance a national presidential campaign much like President Trump did in 2015 and 2016.

Bloomberg claims to be a “Centrist” or middle-of-the-road Democrat verses the far-left “progressive” candidates such as Biden, Sanders and Harris. He would pull votes from Biden, Sanders or Harris because many voters just don’t buy “progressive” ideology disguising Socialism as somehow acceptable.

However useless these early polls are, the Democratic National Committee uses these public polls as the bar for eligibility to participate in the party’s first round of national debates coming this spring. According to current guidelines, debate participants must poll at least a 15-percent voter approval rating, so at this point Biden and Sanders would be on the debate stage while Harris and the others are left out shivering in the cold. These guidelines are sure to be challenged by the lesser candidates.

The main force behind who gets the Democratic presidential nod will be the candidate most likely to beat President Trump, not what’s best for the USA but — who can unseat the most controversial president in American history — who is racking up solid accomplishments one-after-another in rapid fire assault upon establishment Washington.

At this point in time Emerson polling — in a head-to-head race — has Biden winning against President Trump 55-percent to 45-percent, according to Real Clear Politics. If you believe that “malarkey” then back in 2016 you also believed Clinton would win the presidency along with virtually all of mainstream media. In 2020, it’s pretty obvious that we will again see all those shocked, sad and crying Democrats and mainstream media news anchors balling their eyes out as they realize Socialism is a ‘no sale’ in America.

All these polls show is that the field of Democratic candidates is wide open. To believe these polls would be the same as sticking your head in the sand like you all did before — as the Trump Train clocked at 100 MPH rolls right over you – squish
