Boutique Hotel El Mangroove is located in Playa Panama on the Northern Pacific coastline of Guanacaste, just 20 minutes from the Liberia International Airport and is part of the Autograph Collection Hotels group (boutique hotels by Marriott).

The hotel has managed to maintain an average of occupation of close to 70%; part of its recipe to success resides in the importance they give to their clients´ satisfaction, providing comfort and convenience in every aspect. They currently have 85 ocean front suites, spa, gym, pool, and two restaurants. Growth is their next plan, and therefore they have announced the construction of 42 new villas, new pools and another restaurant.

¨We want the hotel to be even more profitable, and diversify our offer, we want to be able to give more options and services, be more agressive, for example in the market of groups and also offer more alternatives for families¨, said José Monge, Director of Operations.

According to Monge, the construction of the new pools and restaurant will begin before the end of this year, they are currently in the design stage. The construction of the new villas will begin in early 2018. The total investment is still unknown.

The construction will also increase their staff in about 35%, mostly in the cleaning and maintenance departments as well as bar and restaurant staff.

The offer of hotels in Guanacaste continues to grow. The Four Seasons Hotel also in the Papagayo Península also announced a big renovation which will force them to close down for four months this year. Lagarta Lodge is Nosara oppened its doors earlier this year with an investment of over $5 million USD.
