Enjoy the Last Days of Food Week San Jose 2017

The Food Week festival is carried out in several cities like New York, USA; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Madrid, Spain, with great success; it is a great opportunity for people to try some of the best restaurants in their city at great prices.

This event arrived to San José, Costa Rica this year for the first time. Even though the name of the festival is “Food Week” it actually goes on for several weeks, in this case, it started July 1st and it will come to an end July 31st.

Food Week SJ is a gastronomy experience that includes in this first edition a total of 18 restaurants; which through July 31st will offer a lunch and dinner menu for a cost of ¢12,900 (approx. $22.5) or ¢17.900 (close to $31.50) taxes included, depending on whether you decide on just main dish and a beverage or appetizer, main dish and beverage. Because this event is sponsored by BAC Credomatic, the listed price is for holders of BAC Credomatic cards, if the payment is done with a card from a different bank the prices are ¢16,000 or ¢22,000

Participating restaurants are: 8vo Rooftop, Alma de Amón, Café Mundo, Chancay Peruvian Restaurant, Da Marco, Estación Atocha, Gabanna, Jurgens, La Cascada, Las Tejas Cariari, Le Chandelier, Na Praia, Olio, Plaza España, Saga, Sapore Trattoria, Segundo Muelle and Vino Mundo.

Each of the restaurants is offering delicious gourmet dishes, prepared by some of the best chefs in Costa Rica, “with this new gastronomy experience we hope that many more people can try and get to know the proposal of 18 of the best restaurants in the city” said Silvia Murillo from 4DMentes, company in charge of the production and organization of the festival.
