The renowned Ballet of Prague’s National Theater will have two presentations in Costa Rica next Wednesday, October 24 and Thursday, October 25 at 8 p.m. at the Costa Rican National Theater, announced Interamericana de Producciones production company.
The Czech National Ballet was established in 1883, which makes it the oldest ballet body in that country and one of the oldest cultural institutions in Europe.
The ballet company, under the artistic direction of Petr Zuska, one of the most respected ballet dancers and choreographers in Europe, will present an exquisite and very different program that includes extracts of “La Bayadère”, “Don Quixote”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “La Fille mal gardée”, among others classics, while it also includes contemporary creations.
Prague Ballet last had a presentation in Costa Rica back in May 2013, a two hour show in a sold out theater.
