
Star triathlete Beth Gerdes and child enjoy a tender family moment

The powerhouse triathlon couple will coach and train with athletes February 4-8, 2016, at RaceQuest’s exclusive beach-side training base in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. McKenzie and Gerdes will provide coaching, triathlon skills sessions and supported training opportunities for athletes taking part in a small-group setting.

The 5-day, 4-night triathlon camp will be based at RaceQuest Travel’s new training base in Costa Rica for 20 weeks each year, The Cove at Ocotal Beach, an exclusive collection of beach villas, saltwater pools, and athletic training facilities located just 20 minutes from Liberia, Costa Rica’s international airport. The warm, clear Pacific waters of Ocotal, scenic footpaths and miles of rewarding cycling routes create the ultimate training environment for triathletes of every experience level.
Perfect All-Inclusive, Family-Friendly Triathlon Getaway
This comprehensive training experience includes coaching from McKenzie and Gerdes, 5-days and 4-nights of luxurious accommodations, all meals with special dietary options available, a sunset welcome dinner at the beach, round trip airport ground shuttle service, nutrition needs during training, open water swimming, fully supported bike rides, run sessions, discussions on race preparation and tactics, and more.
Activities for non-training family members and guests are plentiful, and families are encouraged to attend. Additional nights at The Cove at Ocotal are also available at special rates, ensuring athletes and guests have plenty of time to enjoy all this unspoiled area has to offer.
