Fogo Brasil Restaurant in La Sabana opened doors almost 7 years ago and soon earned a steady clientele that loved this rodizio style option where you are always sure to find perfectly cooked beef cuts and an assorted salad bar.

Fogo Brasil restaurant was recently acquired by Tsunami Global Group, the corporation that owns the chain of restaurants Tsunami Sushi; the company has confirmed they plan to open four more Fogo restaurants by 2020.

The sale amount was not disclosed, but there will be an investment of US$1 million for the remodeling of the current location. Tsunami Global expects to open the other four locations in Santa Ana, Curridabat, Heredia and Jacó.

The concept of “all you can eat steakhouse” will remain but changes will be done to the menu; the remodeling will include the ambiance of the terrace, bar, live music for dinner time, and a strong promotion of the restaurant as a place to host special events and banquets, all these while keeping a competitive price.

Tsunami Sushi recently opened two new locations, one in Jacó in Plaza Jacó Walk with an investment of US$450,000.00 and another one in Barrio Dent in the Sigma Business Center that involved an investment of US$600,000.00. The company has plans to open another location in Santa Ana Town Center (shopping mall currently under construction)this last location will offer the “BBQ Japanese Dining” concept, in which all tables have a grill for clients to cook their own beef cut; Santa Ana Town Center will open doors in the second semester of 2018.

For Fogo, Tsunami Group is currently looking to hire a steakhouse chef, waiters, bartenders, cooks and helpers.
