Commercial centers in an around San José, Costa Rica have a full agenda lined up with free events for kids and families to celebrate Halloween in a safe, comfortable environment.
On Friday, October 27, from 2 – 6 p.m., Lincoln Plaza in Moravia, east of downtown San José, offers an afternoon of fun with inflatables, cotton candy, treats and face-painting, with a trick-or-treating session from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at participating stores. Prizes for the best costumes will be given too!
Avenida Escazú offers Halloween activities for all tastes Saturday, October 28, from 1 – 6 p.m. including crafts, pumpkin carving, a magic show, face-painting, balloon figures, and photos with film characters.
Also on Saturday, Lindora Terrazas has prepared a full afternoon of Halloween fun starting at 3 p.m. and lasting until 6 p.m., to include doughnut decorating, a candy hunt, face-painting, and photos with Dracula.
The Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, near Manuel Antonio National Park, will have Halloween celebrations from Saturday 28 and until Tuesday 31 October every night from 6 – 9 p.m. with trick-or-treating, a haunted house (for a C500 fee), and a series of other free activities for all to enjoy.
Escazú Village adjacent to Walmart Escazú will celebrate “Candy Village Day” Tuesday, October 31, from 1 – 6 p.m. with live music, face-painting, cupcake decorating, and a magic show among other activities. All activities are free, as is underground parking.
