Costa Rica’s Latina University will sign this Thursday an agreement with Kendall College, one of the most prestigious tourism schools according to CEO World’s Top Ranking, with the goal of strengthening the professional formation of the students.
Students of the Hotel Management career will now have this international backing, as they will be part of the “Kendall Global Hospitality Management” program that will complement the curriculum with nine additional subjects.
“We want to provide our students with the necessary tools to optimize the professional formation process, through the best academic structure and specialized resources so they can be validated in a national and international level”, said Benito Avilés, dean of the Hospitality Faculty at the Latina University.
Kendall is part of Laureate International Universities, a network of more than 70 campus-based and online universities offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs to over 1,000,000 students around the world.
With this agreement, students will take for two quarters the subjects of the Kendall program, which include Event Management, Food and Beverage Management, Tourism Marketing, Management of Human Resources and Revenue Management; this means that when they graduated they will receive besides their regular title, an additional international certification given by Kendall College.
Students will also have the possibility of continuing their academic preparation at Kendall College in Chicago.
The Latina University has been imparting the Hotel Management career since year 2000, 98% of their students work in the hotelier industry .
