A California firm with operations in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia has launched an online auction of a massive selection of industrial and shop equipment located in Costa Rica on behalf of Mabe, a Mexican-owned company which designs, produces, and distributes appliances to more than 70 countries around the world.
The auction comes after the May 2014 announcement by Mabe that it would stop producing ranges and ovens at its plant in Heredia, Costa Rica, as part of a restructuring plan, resulting in a surplus of industrial and shop equipment.
CA Global Partners (CAGP), one of the pioneers of live, global webcast auctions, is holding a “Timed Online Auction” of a vast array of industrial and shop equipment located in Costa Rica on behalf of Mabe.
“Buyers benefit from the same innovative approach and attention to detail as our traditional and WebCast auctions,” the company said.
Some of the featured items include injection molders ranging from 125 tons to 500 tons, milling machines, lathes, welders, numerous forklifts and pallet trucks, drill presses, bridge cranes, air compressors, generators, transformers and much, much more.
There is also a wide variety of equipment that would appeal to small shops and home workshops, ranging from heavy-duty grinders with bidding currently starting at just $15; electrical and pneumatic drills, air gun painters, Dremel tools, and entire lots of professional-grade hand tools, all with starting bids of just $10; and hundreds of other items.
Inspections of items can be made in Heredia, 1 km north of Jardines Del Recuerdo, between now and April 8th, as well as on April 11th, or by appointment.
Bidding in the online-only auction closes on April 12th at 10 a.m. All sales are final and items are sold as-is.
