Ironman 5i50 has been added to the Ironman 70.3 Costa Rica triathlon competition. Ironman 5i50 is an Olympic distance triathlon, 1.5 kilometer (0.9 miles) swim, 40 kilometers (24.8 miles) bike ride and 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) run.

The Ironman 5i50 Costa Rica will be held the same day as the Ironman 70.3 and in the same location, June 24 at Playas del Coco, Carrillo, Guanacaste.

This event was added for all those that want to get ‘their feet wet’ in a triathlon competition. The idea is to encourage competitors of the Ironman 70.3 to invite their family members or friends that are just getting started in this sport to take part in the event with distances that are much more attainable.

Attendees to kölbi IRONMAN 70.3 Costa Rica 2019 will be able to enjoy not just the competition, but also the EXPO and their surroundings. A space has been created in one of the most incredible places in Costa Rica so that athletes, family members and locals will feel at home, enjoying a fresh and active environment where we promote a healthy lifestyle through a variety of activities.

There will be 3 categories in this event: IRONMAN 70.3, relays and the 5i50. The competition is a classifying round with 40 places for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, which will be held in Nice, France on September 7, 2019.
